Driving from Limoges (Bellegarde) Airport, Le Dorat is just under 30 miles. Coming out of the airport, take the first exit at the roundabout to Nieul and keep going straight on through there until you reach a T-junction joining the N147. Turn left towards Bellac and Poitiers and stay on this road and just before you get to Bellac you will come to a roundabout for their new by-pass. Take the exit directing you towards Poitiers & Tours, keep on over the next roundabout (again towards Poitiers) and then at the third one Le Dorat is the first exit on your right. From there, we are only about 7 miles.

Driving from Poitiers Airport, which is a longer drive at slightly over 50 miles, again look for signs for the N147 towards Bellac & Limoges. Follow that road until you see a left turn marked to Bussiere-Poitevine. Take this turning into Bussiere and from there Le Dorat is well signposted and about 10 miles.

Driving time, from Calais for example, will be about six & a half hours (with stops), but slightly less from Le Havre or Caen. If you are coming down the A20 from towards Paris, take exit 23 signposted to Magnac Laval and just keep going straight on. From the motorway exit to Le Dorat is just over 12 miles.

When you approach Le Dorat, you will easily see the Collégiale (its spire is actually visible for some distance from the main roads into the town). Maison Robert is directly opposite in 'Place de la Collégiale'. We are only a few doors from the Tourist Office which is also well signposted and there is free parking in the square outside the house.

If you are arriving by train, come out the station and go to your left, past the Citroen garage and over the bridge to the roundabout that is at the bottom left corner of the map below. It's an uphill walk of about ten minutes, so please give me a call and I shall be happy to drive down and collect you.
