Welcome to a look around 'Maison Robert' - our house in Le Dorat that is named after its 19th century owner and town benefactor, Pierre Robert. We, Patrick, Matilda and our family, have lived here since the beginning of 2004 and, in this somewhat grand looking house, have made a relaxed and friendly place for you to stay as well as our family home which we now invite you to share . . .
the hallway, with its wide staircase leading to our guest rooms on the first floor You have a choice of three double en-suite rooms, all decorated in traditional French style and furnished with French and English antique furniture. Each has its own comfortable seating area and fans to help keep you cool in the summer. The house has central heating and, for some extra winter luxury, the beds are fitted with electric blankets. Wi-Fi internet access for your laptop is available at no charge.
The Arabella Suite is a large, panelled room with full en-suite facilities and is at the front of the house on the first floor, overlooking the Collégiale.
In this, as in all our rooms, we have included everything to make your stay with us comfortable, with complimentary wine, tea & coffee making and a mini-fridge containing a variety of cold drinks (re-stocked daily!). All of these are included in the price. (60 euros per night, including breakfast)
Towels and toiletries are in all the en-suite shower rooms and hair-dryers are also provided. Each suite is fully serviced every day and fresh towels are also provided daily. An iron and ironing board are available, at no charge.
This has all the same comforts as "Arabella", with en-suite shower room, seating area and its own mini-fridge and tea & coffee making. (55 euros per night, including breakfast)
The Madelaine and Arabella Suites are next door to each other, making an ideal arrangement for families who may need the extra room.
first floor landing, showing door to The Victoria Suite
This charming room overlooks our quiet and secluded garden at the rear of the house from the first floor. Like the others, it is fully en-suite and has all the same comforts and features. (55 euros per night, including breakfast)
As a guest in our house and in keeping with our relaxed and friendly approach, you are welcome to come and go as you like through the day with no restrictions, whether you want to rest in your room, or just relax in the garden.
down the stairs and through the double doors to the Dining Room on the left, just before the front door
Your continental breakfast is served in the private guest dining room that overlooks the square and the Collégiale. Evening meals are also available by arrangement. Please see our 'Prices' page for details of dinner options.
our garden, as viewed from the back door, is an unusually large one for a town-house and has about four times as much space as you see here beyond the top of the steps You are welcome to sit in the garden at any time to enjoy a coffee, a cold drink or just to catch up on your reading. Weather permitting, you can have breakfast here and you are welcome to use the garden (or your room, or the dining room) if you want to bring your own picnic at lunchtime or in the evening. Each room has cutlery and plates for your convenience. We hope you enjoyed your look through the house. There is more information on what we have to offer, how to get in touch with us and see exactly where we are, on the prices, contact & location page.
